Subject Activities

1. Mathematical Olympiad Elite Class (P.3-6):
   Students from P.3-6 with outstanding mathematical performance are selected to participate in the Mathematical Olympiad Elite Class. Intensive training sessions are held after school on Wednesdays, focusing on multi-perspective problem analysis, enhancing logical thinking and problem-solving skills, and allowing students to experience the joy of learning mathematics.
2. Chanting Multiplication Tables Rhymes (P.3-4):
   Students needing extra support in mathematics participate in fun game activities during Wednesday lunch breaks. This aims to enhance their interest and motivation in learning multiplication tables.
3. Maths Trail (P.1-6):
   The "Maths Trail" activity is an extracurricular activity that integrates mathematics learning with real-life contexts. Through this activity, students step outside the classroom framework to actively explore and solve real-world problems in their surroundings. This broadens the knowledge gained in class, enhances the ability to apply mathematics, and can be aligned with STEAM and National Education to boost various generic skills.
4. Inter-class Speed Calculation Competition (P.1-6):
   Speed calculation helps improve computational skills, memory, and concentration, increasing calculation speed and accuracy. It also promotes balanced development of both brain hemispheres, fosters self-confidence and logical thinking abilities, and enhances problem-solving skills. The competition will be held during post-examination activities in both the first and second semesters.

External Competitions

The Mathematics Department selects students from the "Mathematical Olympiad Elite Class" and other students with strong mathematical abilities to participate in external mathematics competitions. In the 2024-25 school year, students participated in a total of 17 external "Mathematical Olympiad competitions" and other mathematics competitions. They have previously achieved team championships and individual championships, winning a total of 101 awards, demonstrating remarkable results.
