Teacher Professional Development

Our teachers are dedicated to engaging in in-depth and professional discussions to build consensus, establish a shared vision, and create a development blueprint for the school, all aimed at benefiting our students. Our school consistently strives to arrange diverse professional development activities tailored to the our context, organising a variety of opportunities for all staff. We actively participate in Professional Development Days and other training sessions organised by the Government Schools Section.

This academic year, we have already conducted a school-wide workshop themed "AI Empowerment · Intelligent Education for the Future." Additionally, subject-based workshops on "Utilising the RainbowOne Learning Platform" and "Mathematical Modelling" were also organised by the panels of the Chinese and Mathematics departments. Furthermore, our school participates in various school-based support programmes to enhance teachers' capacity in designing appropriate learning materials and optimising the interconnected cycles of learning, teaching, and assessment. The external support programmes for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

In addition to arranging on-campus workshops, seminars, and training, our teachers also form learning circles. They collaboratively enhance classroom teaching through lesson study, lesson observations, and post-lesson evaluations, and conduct teaching research sharing sessions and peer observations to discuss key aspects of lesson design and feedback, with teachers reviewing classroom video clips to examine student learning progress.

Moreover, following the review of student work, our school holds work review sharing meetings. These meetings comprehensively assess the quality of teachers' assignment design and feedback, as well as student performance in areas such as grasping key learning points and self-directed learning. This serves as a platform for exchanging teaching experiences and jointly discussing methods to optimise and support student learning. Through mutual support and encouragement, our commitment to professional growth fosters a dynamic exchange of knowledge among colleagues.
