Theme-based Reading
Objectives:
- Integrated Learning: Encourage students to apply comprehensive subject knowledge and skills, cultivating their ability for extended and independent learning.
- Enhancing Reading Interest: Increase students' interest in reading, helping them develop self-directed learning skills.
- Broadening Learning Perspectives: Expand students' horizons and learning experiences.
Implementation:
- Reading E-books or Excerpts: Students will engage with electronic books or selected excerpts.
- Watching Videos or Cartoons: Viewing relevant videos or animated content will support the themes explored in readings.
- Art and Writing (Bilingual: Chinese and English): Create a piece that represents something that makes the world a better place. Students will illustrate their ideas and share them with their classmates.

Themes: Gratitude and Appreciation
Chinese & English: Reading theme books <愛心樹>、<The Giving Tree>
Music: Appreciate related songs, such as <You Raise Me Up> and <世上只有>
Visual Arts: Create a new cover for the story, incorporating illustrations.
Library: Engage in extended reading on the same theme.
Task: Design a new cover for <The Giving Tree> that visually expresses the outline of the story.
