Subject Activities

1. Improve students’ motivation to learn Putonghua independently:
    P.4-P.6 students use the self-study online platform to learn Putonghua independently.
2. Improve understanding of Chinese culture:
   By studying the "School-Based Putonghua Self-Study Book", students can recite ancient Chinese poems, feel the beauty of Chinese culture, and at the same time enhance their patriotism and national pride.
3. Putonghua Day:
    " Putonghua Day" is held regularly, where Putonghua songs are played during recess and students sing Putonghua songs in the hall. Increase students' opportunities to listen to Putonghua and create an interesting Putonghua learning context.
4. Interactive Educational Theater:
    Invite educational institutions to our school to conduct interactive educational theater to enhance students' interest in learning Putonghua.
5. Participate in the "Hong Kong School Speech Festival - Putonghua" solo verse speaking competition
   Teachers nominate and train students to participate in the "Hong Kong School Speech Festival - Putonghua" solo verse speaking competition, and arrange for participating students to do rehearsal on Putonghua Day to increase the opportunities for other students to be exposed to Putonghua.
6. Recommend students to participate in various Putonghua competitions in Hong Kong to improve their ability and confidence in using Putonghua.
