Primary Humanities Curriculum Overview

Starting this academic year, our school has launched the Primary Humanities curriculum in Primary 1 and Primary 4. Guided by the core principles of “Fostering Character, Inquiry-Based Learning, and Real-Life Connections,” the curriculum aims to help students construct knowledge, cultivate humanistic values, and develop a broad range of transferable skills. The Primary Humanities curriculum is designed to:

  • Support students’ physical and mental well-being, nurturing positive values and attitudes from an early age, and helping them grow into confident, rational, and responsible citizens.
  • Help students understand their roles and responsibilities within the family and society, respect the rule of law, and contribute to the common good of the community and the nation.
  • Deepen students’ understanding of China’s history, geography, culture, and modern development, fostering national identity and a sense of belonging, while encouraging them to contribute to both the country and the world.
  • Raise awareness of local, national, and global developments and their interconnections.
  • Promote environmental awareness and sustainable living through education for sustainable development.
